The Bri Beauty Stick: How to find your shade
Not sure what shades of the Bri Beauty Stick would fit your skin tones? You’re in the right place! Just find your undertone and match it with your shade family, and you’ll have the perfect shade for your unique skin.
Step 1: Identify your undertone
An undertone is a subtle tint of color in your skin that can affect how certain shades of makeup looks on you. Not sure where to start? Here’s a quick video to help you find your undertone and best shades.
Some can tell their skin’s undertone by simply looking at it:
-
If your skin typically looks pink, red or blue, this indicates a cool undertone.
-
Golden, peachy, or yellow tones indicate a warm undertone.
-
If your skin doesn’t lean either cool or warm, you likely have a neutral undertone.
If you’re not sure of your undertone at first glance, there’s still another trick you can use to find it. The most common trick to finding your undertone is to look at the color of your veins in natural lighting.
-
If your veins come off as blue or purple, you have a cool undertone.
-
If your veins appear to be green, you likely have a warm undertone.
-
Neutral undertones might appear to have a mixture of colors in their veins - typically a green and blue mix.
When you know your undertone, you can avoid shades that pull orange on cooler skin or look ashy on warmer skin.
Step 2: Identify your shade family
Finding your shade family allows you to identify the depth of your skin, and in blush or bronzer terms - help you determine what shades might be too dark or provide an extreme pop of color on your skin.
Step 3: Find your perfect shade
When finding your perfect shade, here are some things you might want to keep in mind for your perfect routine:
Blush: After using your undertone to decide which shades would work best with your skin, decide if you want a subtle or bold look for your unique routine! While our recommendations are made for each individual shade family, other shades might still work on your skin, but just come off as extra bright or natural depending on your skin.
Bronzer: Pick a shade complementary to your undertone and shade family. Remember, this should be 1-2 shades deeper than your skin tone and work to deepen and warm your skin where placed.
Now that you know your undertone, shade family, and goals for your makeup routine, here are our recommendations for each.
